I suggest you ...

Implement Silverlight on more platforms

The fastest way to encourage adoption is to get Silverlight on as many platforms as possible -- Windows Mobile, iPhone, Mac (all flavors), Linux, Android, Windows Embedded, MCML, and so forth. The more platforms, the better.

Its time for MS to crush adobe!! Think wise, rollout silverlight for Android/Apple!

@vera: answer is simple, silverlight is going to be implemented on less platforms. MS thinks the apple developers are going to save windows with html5 thing, not us with their superior tool. just how hard can it be to buy mono code and develop so the most promising tool MS ever invented could be more relevant? may be switching to html5 might not be a bad thing (it will save the planet, work on any device, any platform blah blah); unless someday w3c behaves just like MS to trash our investment and switch to browser plug-in runtime that is based on mono :) why not?

"I am considering learning HTML5 just because Silverlight is not available on other platforms." - I hear this very often now! Please Microsoft! React! Do something! We all love Silverlight and the tools around it!

Please Microsoft, Our company want to develop all the mobile products in Silverlight, but our clients use blackberry, iphone and android, so we are very limited.

Both Silverlight and Flash should be implemented on every platform. Why? Because developers should have the freedom of choosing whichever technology they like. More importantly, every user of the Internet should have access to 100% of the Internet. I think MS, Google, and Apple should be forced by law to implement Internet technologies on every major platform. We can't afford to lose human knowledge because of the competition between the giants.

Please Microsoft, we want to be highly productive and enjoy our job while making web products. Silverlight has brought sanity to all of us. Please listen to these thousands of votes and hundreds of comments and sign deals with other companies and introduce Silverlight on other platforms. Silverlight is not just a stupid plug-in in the old-fashioned sense. It's way more than that. It's a revolution.
