Implement Silverlight on more platforms
The fastest way to encourage adoption is to get Silverlight on as many platforms as possible -- Windows Mobile, iPhone, Mac (all flavors), Linux, Android, Windows Embedded, MCML, and so forth. The more platforms, the better.

I don't care about other platforms yet, I want it bundled with IE and/or Windows first!

At MIX11 you said that all new SL5's features were drive by user voice, it looks like you forgot the #1.
Seriuously folks, SL is a really amazing platform, if Flash folks can do i see no reason why us, as SL DEVs, shouldn't -

I am still waiting for the official line in regards to the Xbox 360. With SL5 and WP7 we now see XNA and SL getting closer aligned so why not have projects that can deploy to the 360?

Through the use of Mono, cross-platform .NET and the Moonlight project, Silverlight is already on a lot of other platforms including Android. Microsoft has been working with the Mono team to support the Moonlight initiative on Linux and other *nix based platforms. Through the Mono for Android project, Novell is bringing Moonlight/Silverlight to Android as well and will thus beat Microsoft to the punch as they do not yet have Silverlight for Windows Phone 7 (other than App creation). I very much doubt you will ever see Silverlight on the iOS platform until after Apple and Adobe kiss and make up. Getting Flash on iOS is way more important than getting Silverlight onto iOS. To be quite honest, Silverlight really does not have as strong a market as Flash so while it would be nice, it is not a necessity and is really only important to Microsoft Technology Developers. However, you have my vote as it is always good to have choice on any platform.

IOS and Android do not really feature too highly on my list. If you use MVVM and separate out your logic then using Mono (Touch and Droid) makes it relatively easy to release for those platforms. I am looking forward to Television and XBox 360 integration.

I don't care that much about iOS, if they don't want to play nice, it's their issue. But having SL on Droid would be pretty sweet, especially seeing how it is spreading on slates and other devices.

The choice we currently have as web developers is Java (nightmare development envirnment), Flash (Too high cost and sytem overhead) and Siverlight which provides by far the easiest dev platform but is a bit light on OS support. Getting silverlight onto android and improving Mac support seems to be a no brainer.
