Allow strongly-typed ViewModels, as in ASP.NET MVC.
It would be nice to let us specify the type of a ViewModel, as in ASP.NET MVC - this would allow us to catch a whole swathe of binding errors at compile time.

Hi Dan, see my comment about the "Strong Binding" on this request : http://dotnet.uservoice.com/forums/40583-wpf-feature-suggestions/suggestions/2243977-introduce-strongly-typed-bindings

I would actually call this feature request a "strongly typed view", not a "strongly typed view model", but whatever you call it, it's a great idea.
Also, this is very similar to a different suggestion (http://dotnet.uservoice.com/forums/40583-wpf-feature-suggestions/suggestions/2243977-introduce-strongly-typed-bindings).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but It sounds like what you're really asking for is compile-time checking of binding statements? Having a specified type is an enabler of that, right?
